ZingZillas – Coming Soon on CBeebies

The BBC announced a new commission for CBeebies this week, called ZingZillas.  The music show aims to mix all types of music, from opera to pop music, with physical activities, but with a prehistoric slant.  A ZingZilla is defined as:

Noun

1. A musical sound produced by infusing music with a primate twist
2. Feeling evoked by music; emotional response often associated with fun and energy: I feel like a ZingZilla. Having a ZingZilla time.

Verb

1. To ZingZilla – to play music and create an emotional response: Play that music ZingZilla-style!

Plural – Zillas

1. An energetic bunch of primates that produce a ZingZilla sound.

The 52-part series, which starts shooting this month until the end of the year, will air Spring 2010.
